About The Knaresborough Inn
The Knaresborough Inn sits on Bond End beside the River Nidd, part of the Inn Collection Group's chain of refurbished coaching inns across the north of England. Formerly the Dower House Hotel, the property has had a multi-million-pound refit that added new bedrooms while keeping its Grade II listed shell and landscaped grounds intact.
Rooms include Annex Double options with en suite bathrooms, desks and tea and coffee facilities, and the inn welcomes dogs for an additional charge, making it a practical choice for visitors travelling with pets. An indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and small fitness centre set it apart from most other options in town.
Mother Shipton's Cave and Knaresborough Castle are both within a ten-minute walk, and the inn's restaurant and bar make it easy to spend an evening without heading back into the town centre. It works well as a mid-range base for both families and couples, combining hotel-style facilities with the price point of a good pub stay.

I highly recommend this place! I’ve been here before and it never disappoints. The outdoor seating is fab, and everything is spotless with beautiful decor. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome right from the start. My room was pristine and had all the amenities I needed for a great stay. Can't wait to come back!

The staff are fantastic and attentive. The food is lush. The outdoor area has both sunlit and shaded space. We ordered a variety of food and everyone enjoyed their meal. It was quite quiet but it was the first Monday of the summer holidays. I look forward to visiting again

I just had a wonderful stay with my partner, celebrating a special occasion. The sea bass was outstanding, and my husband loved his rump steak—both were cooked to perfection! The cocktails were fab, and the friendly staff made us feel right at home. Our room was spotless and super comfortable, plus the dog-friendly vibe was a nice touch, even though we didn’t bring our pup. Can’t wait to come back!

I loved this hotel. The renovations that were recently done were fantastic and retained the historical feel while also feeling fresh. The interior of the pub/restaurant and hotel rooms are beautiful, and the decor is very tasteful. It was so quaint! We stayed in the original/older part of the hotel and the bed was comfy, the room was surprisingly spacious and the bathroom was huge. There are a ton of seating options around the restaurant in various rooms. The food and service was also great. The location is perfect and quiet. This was definitely a 5 star stay.
