Knaresborough sits on cliffs above the River Nidd, its medieval streets and stone stairs climbing steeply through the town centre. The Annexe is a self-contained annexe in a residential part of town, sleeping three across a double and single bedroom. Ground floor has the living space, kitchen and a separate toilet; upstairs is the bedroom and shower room. Electricity, bed linen and towels are provided.
The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine. A sitting-out area with garden furniture overlooks the grounds, and there is parking for one car on site. A pub is within a mile's walk. The bus stop and train station are both close by, making it easy to reach Harrogate four miles away or York in half an hour. Knaresborough itself has the castle ruins with views across the gorge, Mother Shipton's Cave and Petrifying Well, and a riverside promenade where you can hire a rowing boat. The Nidd Gorge upstream is a wooded landscape good for walking. The Beryl Burton Cycle Way connects the town to Harrogate and Ripley on traffic-free routes. No smoking inside the property.
