About The Crosskeys Hotel

A pint by the bar and a hearty breakfast set the tone at The Crosskeys Hotel, a pub-hotel on King Street in Knutsford, Cheshire. The building began life as an 18th-century coaching inn, and the rooms occupy the converted stables and coaching house that once served travellers on the road. The bar keeps that character alive, offering a proper local feel with outdoor seating for warmer days and drinks available in the room for those who prefer to stay put.

Rooms are straightforward and functional rather than plush, each with an en-suite bathroom, and family rooms are available for those travelling with children. Breakfast is served on-site, and there's a restaurant for evening meals, backed up by free WiFi and 24-hour reception for guests arriving at odd hours. Pets are welcome, and free on-site parking makes it an easy stop for anyone driving into Cheshire.

Knutsford itself has plenty within easy reach, with pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby, and a golf course close by for those wanting to fill an afternoon. Tatton Park and the town's other attractions are a short distance away, making the hotel a convenient, no-frills base for exploring the area.

I'm giving a well deserved 5 stars after reading all the negative comments. Upon reading them I was absolutely filled with dread about our booking. When we arrived all the staff were friendly, helpful and polite. Our room was ready at time of check in. It was a bit of a trek to our room and didn't relish having to do that too often. The room was spacious and well equipped. Included was tea and coffee facilities, ironing board and iron, hairdryer, mini heater and fan cooler. In the bathroom there was toilet rolls, shower gels and moisturiser. The room was clean and functional. Cosmetically it could do with a face lift as it was slightly tired in appearance. The following morning we had two delicious full English breakfasts with tea/coffee and juice. Continental breakfast was also a choice and all included in the price. We paid £67.00 for the room and breakfast which was great value. We did not experience any of the issues mentioned in the bad posts and having gone with zero expectations we were more than happy. Thank you for the stay

This old building is charming, and the rooms are modern, clean, and have everything you need. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast has a good variety of options. It's just a short walk to a beautiful park with a lake, and there are lots of restaurants, cafes, and shops nearby.

Booked an room for one night. Shocking and unable to stay. The room was so dirty and had not been cleaned from the previous guests. I paid for breakfast but was told there was no breakfast and I would need to contact booking.com for a refund. There was no wifi in the room and no phone coverage. A big problem when trying to work. Security camera removed from room entrance and fire extinguisher left outside the front door. Avoid this run down dirty shambles at all cost.
