About Angharad Shepherd's Hut at Meurig Cottage
Tucked into the hills near Lampeter, this adults-only shepherd's hut offers a genuinely remote escape wrapped in spectacular Ceredigion scenery. With space for just a handful of guests, Angharad delivers proper peace and quiet – the kind where birdsong and rustling wildlife are your main soundtrack. The site runs on renewable energy and keeps things refreshingly simple, with campfires and barbecues encouraged under open skies.
It's a walkers' paradise, with trails threading through the surrounding countryside, while mountain biking, climbing, and watersports are all within striking distance. The hut itself leans towards luxury in its fittings, though the remote location means you'll want to arrive well-stocked. For couples seeking solitude and stars, few Ceredigion boltholes feel quite this tucked away.
