You arrive at Bwlchgraig Fach to find a detached farmhouse on a working farm, with space that feels entirely yours. Downstairs, the living and dining room has a woodburner and smart TV; the kitchen is equipped for cooking, with an electric cooker, fridge and washing machine. Upstairs, a double bedroom and bathroom with both bath and walk-in shower. Oil heating keeps the place warm, and initial logs for the woodburner are included. Bed linen, towels, electricity and WiFi are all covered.

Outside, there's an enclosed lawned garden with patio, garden furniture and a firepit. Space for two cars on the private drive. The cottage suits couples and works equally well as a solo retreat. One dog is welcome. Smoking is not permitted indoors.

For exploring the area: Aberaeron's Georgian harbour and independent shops are under 10 miles away, with seasonal events including a mackerel festival and beer festival. New Quay, further along the coast, is known for spotting bottlenose dolphins and taking boat trips in season. Llanerchaeron, a National Trust estate, sits between the two towns along a flat path suitable for cycling and pushchairs. Inland, Tregaron hosts annual horse-trotting events and sits in the foothills of the Cambrian Mountains. The wider region has award-winning beaches, many open to dogs year-round.

A lovely part of the world, the cottage is a great place to stay and the owners are warm and welcoming. Lots of rural places to enjoy from this location with a short drive into Aberystwyth or to the devils bridge.
