A great place to bring little ones. Lots of areas to explore and climb. Toddlers have there own areas.

We came down as a family of four to do the roller skating. When we arrived there was plenty of parking and it was easy to find the roller skating area. Service at the till was a little slow, you could have done with another staff member to help out but when we got served the guy was helpful and polite. There were plenty of tables available to leave our coats etc. We grabbed a drink mid way though and the staff were very helpful. We really enjoyed roller skating and everyone else who was there gave the kids room as they kept falling over. The music was brilliant a real good mix of 90s. The staff were constantly working clearing tables etc. we can't wait to come back again soon. A real good value for money on a Wednesday evening and perfect for tea hung the kids as it wasn't busy! Kids woke up with aching legs 😂

Sad to see how far this place has fallen. Outdated signage outside for the last year at least. Old restaurants and events listed long past their closure/date. Deteriorated signs. Poor car park. Health and safety not considered. Trip hazards everywhere. Dirty, dark and unwelcoming. We appreciate there has been some building work lately but some issues go back years. The front door has been like this for as long as we can remember (see photos). The front door and entrance area is embarrassing and enough to deter anyone from wanting to enter. I’ve not gone in beforehand due to feeling uncomfortable with this. Like a horror movie. As kids we would go through the fancy entrance at the front that’s been turned into a cafe. Half the grand stair case has been built on. Just feels so hap-hazard. As have been before, we knew where the disabled ramp was. Not easy to see/find if you haven’t been before. The disabled ramp outside on the other side of the building is usable, but the establishment should have upgraded this long ago. We also looked at Monkey Puzzle and it was dark and the equipment could visually be seen to have a thick layer of grey dust on all the yellow lining of the play frames. Wouldn’t want to bring any young children here. Don’t know if it was open to be honest. Nothing was clear or clearly sign posted. Didn’t even know there was a skating rink until we accidentally stumbled across it was looking around. As for why we came, we went bowling. Not too expensive but they did charge for socks and didn’t tell us. Shoes were long overdue for replacement. Short staffed. Staff weren’t friendly. No adequate seating whilst bowling. Bit of a mess. We had 5 of us and rotated best we could, other families were left standing around and kids sitting on top of each other. Shocked to see that the bowling itself hasn’t changed in twenty years. They also had a random adult ITV4 vampire film on the screens in between the monitors with the scores. I wouldn’t say that was child friendly, especially for 10am! Surely they should monitor what is on the screens? Lastly, it was not clear to us we had a time limit or that the game would shutdown without warning. There was no timer on the screen to let us know there was a timer or where we were time wise. The game suddenly ended two rounds from the end and by the time we’d figured that out, the screen reset and we didn’t even get to see the scores. It wasn’t busy, so it’s not like another family were waiting. Just left a sour taste in our mouths. Decided not to use the loos and wait till we went home. If they were anything like the rest of the building, they should be avoided. The place had and I guess still has so much potential, especially with all the new families due to the new houses in the area. It’s just painful to see it like it is. Needs a major revamp inside and out. Great if local as not having to travel far… but just so sad, don’t have good expectations.
