About Holiday Inn Leeds Garforth

Holiday Inn Leeds Garforth is a spread-out, two-storey modern hotel built for easy access rather than architectural drama, sitting just a mile from junction 46 of the M1 on Wakefield Road. With 144 rooms across its low-rise layout, it has the scale to handle families, business travellers and overnight stops alike, and free on-site parking makes arriving straightforward.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning, with family and accessible options available, plus the usual practical extras such as room service and laundry. Facilities run to a restaurant and bar, an indoor swimming pool, gym and spa or sauna, along with meeting rooms and business services for those passing through on work. Breakfast is a particular strength, with a good range on offer, and kids' meals are catered for too. That said, some rooms show their wear, and service standards vary rather than being uniformly polished.

Staff are generally friendly and helpful, which counts for a lot given the hotel's role as a base for exploring Leeds and the surrounding area. A garden gives outdoor space on site, while a pub, restaurant and eatery nearby add further options within easy reach. Pets are welcome, making it a practical stop for a range of travellers.

Terrible, our toilet was broken. Four times they tried to fix it even at four in the morning. Eventually got another room that was tiny. There wasn't much choice in food and what there was was cold. No Cider on draught, no Guinness. I've been going to holiday inn for 30 years and always enjoyed staying there. Will definitely not be going back to the garforth one

This is a remote former 1960/70s motel The welcome was lovely and as it was my birthday they let me in my room 30 mins early Unfortunately the sofa bed was not made up as requested and there was no spare bedding to do so. There are no lifts in this hotel, but a kind cleaner carried my bag to the room for me. There is no phone in the room to call reception and I had to call 4 times before they picked up, to request they made the bed up After he went I saw the skirting behind the bed was thick with dust and there was a 2p on the floor. Then the bathroom door had something red splatted on it (probably make up). I rang the reception a few times but no one picked up. I went out and tried again that evening a few times, but still no reply. The rooms are small but adequate. There is no fridge but a big TV and a tea tray. I did not dine so cant comment but £17 per person is a bit steap when they dont do non pork meat sausages (chicken/lamb/beef) I am allergic to pork, gluten and coconut, so it was very limited so no point but reception did try to upsell on checkin at a reduced rate of £14 The pool is a HUGE let down it is tiny and just 1 meter deep. You can do about 5 breastrokes then you have to turn around. The jacuzzi had rope around it and was out of order, there is a tiny sauna and steam room. Its not a place I would rush back to, because it is so difficult getting in touch with reception and the walk back to reception is so long you cant sort out any issues should they arise. You need to be able to contact them, and it is something the hotel should urgently address. Disinterested receptionist at check out. There is a car park and bus stops near but you have to walk a bit to get to one. No bus or train information at reception and no guide in the room

Great hotel good breakfast and evening meals. The rooms are comfortable and the beds good. There is a pool and gym on site and easy to use. The staff are all polite and welcoming nothing too much. Good wifi and TV.

Had a 3 night stay for a work trip, the room was good and the breakfast was also pretty good. There are decent facilities too such as the sauna and steam room. All the staff were really friendly, especially Neve from the leisure club who was very accommodating and helpful.
