About Squires Caravan Park And Campsite
Squires Caravan Park and Campsite sits on Newthorpe Lane just outside Leeds, with showers available on site. The location is built around Squires Café Bar, a motorcycle-themed venue that doubles as a clothing and accessories shop – both are essentially on the doorstep, making this an obvious stop for riders or anyone with an interest in bikes.
A few minutes' walk away is Furfields Dog Park, useful if you are camping with dogs. The site's main draw is its roadside setting and the ready-made social hub of the café bar, rather than countryside isolation or resort facilities.

We stopped here overnight to brake our journey up to Wales. The main strip we were put on looked nothing like the pictures on their website which i assume must have been taken when they first opened. The majority of the caravans on the strip looked like they lived there not just on holiday for a few days. Site really ran down. Bins overflowing. There was also an aircon unit (assume for the cafe) that was not functioning correctly so started buzzing and vibrating loudly every 20mins throughout the night, safe to say we got little sleep. The was a grass area next to the strip, if we had been on there might have been ok as looked like a caravan site and prob wouldnt have heard the aircon. If you are just wanting to be near the bikes then ok but for a regular site, i wouldnt recommend.

I booked this site for 2 nights, I stayed 1. The main issue was the noise. The space is huge for non electric camping pitches but when I stayed with my 9 year old there were about 4 other tents. There is a train line close which didn't bother me as it was expected. The noise that I didn't expect was made up of trains honking their horns, directly next to the campsite, at least twice an hour every hour between 6am and midnight. There were also dogs barking a lot throughout the day and late at night. Another thing to keep in mind, is that the showers cost extra. £1 for 3 minutes which you have to buy tokens for at the cafe. The plus sides were there's a cafe on site, we saw 3 kites close up. Id probably go again for a night or 2 but I'd take ear plugs.

Basic facilities but great spot if you are there for the bike scene.

cross a normal family campsite in the countryside with a festival field, add a load of motorbikes making motorbike noises every now and then, throw in an old pub converted a bit to make it more cafe like (gf bread available), and watch trains on the nearby track intermittently streak past, and you may have an idea of this place! Despite it being a Bank Holiday weekend, there was no noise out of hours, everyone was friendly, & it felt relaxed & inviting to this single camper.
