Parking up in the south of the Peak District National Park is always a good idea for a break if you're into your walks and other outdoor activities. And it gets even better if you book a pitch at Blackshaw Moor Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite, in a handy spot directly off the A53 (no tricky navigating along narrow lanes here…). The spacious, level hardstandings are well spread out for a real sense of peace, each with plenty of room for an awning and a barbecue, and the facilities – from immaculately clean shower blocks with hot water to the launderette and motorhome service point – are consistently well maintained.
This site is managed by the Caravan and Motorhome Club and open to both members and non-members, with discounted rates available for members. The price displayed here is the member rate, so non-members will need to pay the £15/night extra or sign up for membership. As well as those essential amenities, there's a play area for the kids and a dog park for your four-legged friends. Leek (five minutes' drive) is handily close by for shops, supermarkets and places to eat.

Great kication just off the main road so no lanes to navigate. Plots are generous so privacy, is guaranteed... But they don't close down the view across the site which is really well maintained ined and has amenities that are immaculately clean. We had a lovely weekend break but it would suit a longer stay too... Easy access into the Peak District.

A very well kept site, pitches are on terraces, but level. Clean and tidy facilities. Excellent location for exploring the Peak District. Nice pub 5 minutes walk up the road too.

Nicely maintained CAMC site located on the boarder or Derbyshire and Staffordshire, a few miles from Leek. Wardens are friendly and accommodating. Two toilet blocks were very clean. We were on pitch 67, which gave us shade during the day and sun in the evening, great during this heatwave.

No rooms. It's a CAMC campsite! Service efficient relevant to a campsite. Next to The Roaches, walking very possible. Campsite very clean, loos, showers cleaned daily, black and grey water disposal...
