About Holiday Inn Express Leicester City

Holiday Inn Express Leicester City suits visitors who want a no-fuss stay close to the city's main draws, whether that's a business trip, a football weekend, or simply a stopover with easy parking. The hotel has 110 rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and air conditioning, and rooms are consistently described as spacious, clean and comfortably furnished with good beds, making this a solid option for anyone who values comfort over frills.

Breakfast covers both continental and English options, and there's a restaurant and bar on site for evening meals and drinks, alongside free WiFi and 24 hour reception for late arrivals or early starts. Free on-site parking is a genuine plus for drivers, and accessible rooms and a lift are available for those who need them. Worth noting, a few guests have mentioned the air conditioning doesn't always work as it should, so it's not entirely trouble-free.

The surrounding area has pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby, making it easy to head out for the evening without much planning. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and the overall rates are considered reasonable for what's on offer, which makes this a practical choice for Leicester visits rather than a destination in itself.

Pleasant hotel to stay at which is located next to the King Power Stadium and not too far from the city centre, easily accessible via car or public transport. There are plenty of amenities available along with things to visit and do in the surrounding area too. The hotel offers a free morning breakfast which is great. The only thing negative this time round is the same as was during my stay during the 1st week of June.......the air conditioning system is still out of order!!! Although fans are provided, with the extreme heat we've had recently along with a room window facing the sun as it sets, I would hace much preferred the air conditioning to have been operational by now. My room did get very warm once the evening set in and had it not been for the fan being left on all night, my sleeps over 3 nights would definitely have been uncomfortable. I felt very dehydrated every morning I woke up too which wasn't too nice. I found many other customers venting their frustrations about the same issues I've stated. Overall view, I would stay at this hotel again.......just please ensure the air conditioning system is operational and working.

Just stopped one night here and everything was as expected. Room was clean and the staff were really helpful downstairs. They had a new girl working as an apprentice in the bar and the coaching and help they were giving her was really supportive and it was good to see them looking after their staff so well. Breakfast is okay, scrambled eggs are a little bit rubbery, but that's what he's like sometimes on buffet breakfast. All in all restaurant was clean. Plenty of parking and would stay again if I need to.

We stayed here for a night in 2019. One of my favourite hotels, definitey the best ibis hotel we stayed in on a nine week holiday around Europe!! They gave us a beautiful room on the top floor which was what we asked for. I'd love to stay here again sometime. The whole place was immaculately clean. Staff were friendly. Quick taxi ride from train station.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews. But this is honestly the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at The air con was broken and the room is probably around 30 degrees Celsius. The staff tried their best but it seems management is useless. They said ‘they’ll raise a case’ to get me a partial refund but I doubt that will happen. Just pay a bit more and book somewhere decent.
