About South Fork Guest House

South Fork Guest House occupies a sizeable modern house on Narborough Road in Leicester, its scale making it a straightforward, no-frills base rather than a period property with grand character. The rooms are kept simple and functional, each with an en-suite bathroom, and family rooms are available for those travelling in a group. Drinks can be taken in the room, and the garden and outdoor seating area give guests somewhere to sit outside when the weather allows.

A cooked breakfast is included, and free WiFi runs throughout the building, with reception staffed around the clock for early arrivals or late check-ins. As this is adults-only accommodation, it suits couples or groups of grown-ups looking for a quiet, uncomplicated stay. Free on-site parking is a practical bonus for anyone arriving by car.

The surrounding area has pubs, bars, restaurants and other eateries within easy reach, along with entertainment options and a nearby golf course for those wanting to fill their days. It's a functional choice for visiting Leicester, with the basics well covered rather than any added luxury.

Small & quite basic but popular, we were given a newly refurbished twin bedded room. It still smelled of fresh paint but I like that. The decor is attractive with new carpet & a spacious shower in the freshly appointed bathroom. All nice & clean & tidy. The duvets are quite thin but there are heavy wool blankets in the wardrobe if needed (& I did). The mattresses are quite firm. View onto garden. The house is warm & breakfast is perfectly acceptable. Come & go as you please. Very handy for the City Centre, walkable or a short bus ride. The family are friendly & obliging. Good value for the money. No doubt we will stay again.

Think quilt, dog barking at 3 in the morning owners dog. Breakfast poor tea plate not dinner plate, bacon scrambled egg and beans, cheap horrible sausage. No hash browns black pudding or tomatoes very poor not worth it. Cheap booker or makro coffee not nescafe or a brand would not stay again
