About Travelodge Leicester Markfield

Each of the 60 rooms at Travelodge Leicester Markfield comes with its own en-suite bathroom and drinks-making facilities, giving guests a straightforward, no-fuss base for the night. The hotel is spread across two floors, with accessible rooms available, and while the decor is on the simple side, the rooms are kept clean and comfortable, which counts for more on a stopover than styling does.

Downstairs there's a bar for a drink after driving, and a restaurant or eatery nearby for anyone not wanting to cook or venture far. The property is pet friendly, has an electric vehicle charge point, and offers free on-site parking, though space is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and the car park itself isn't always well maintained. Reception operates around the clock, so late arrivals off the motorway aren't a problem.

Sitting near the M1 J22 interchange, the hotel is well placed for the National Space Centre and East Midlands Airport, and there's a golf course and horse riding nearby for those staying a little longer. It's a practical choice for anyone passing through Leicester who wants a clean, affordable room and easy motorway access rather than a destination in itself.

Great staff, warm, and great feel for a short stay for holiday, seeing family, or business travel but over all clean and tidy cleaning done daily, everyone is polite. I loved my stay here. Only issues I had here was had to get 2 new tiers as deep pot holes in the carport and not much space to move when there a hole every meter but I will be coming here again when I need to travel I deffo recommend for a fair price good run lodge this would be it 👌

"From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel right at home—especially the receptionist, who was outstandingly polite. The room was warm, spotless, and both the bath and shower were delightful. They even treated my little chihuahua to daily snacks, which was such a lovely touch." A special thanks to Karen and all the cleaners.

*Update after second stay here - Just as great as the first time! Staff extremely friendly & room was warm, clean & comfortable. Will definitely be back again! The hotel from outside looks rundown. Next to a derelict, boarded up service station & a stripped out petrol station. Car park full of huge potholes. Rooms are in need of a good clean, the walls in our room was covered in thick dust & someone had drawn a pictures in the dust 😂 However, the staff were all extremely friendly, the bed was comfy & we had 2 good night's sleep. Located perfectly for what we needed.

Rooms were good. Price excellent. We stayed on 25th Dec, so the room was cold in the evening when we first came but once we put the heater temperature up it was fine. For a family of 4 it was great. We forgot our mobile power bank charger there and when we called back to reception they were very helpful. Our friend collected the charger the next day. Very happy about that.
