About Barcombe Yurts
Tucked into a peaceful meadow flanked by woodland and a trickling stream, this family-run glampsite offers a genuine escape into the East Sussex countryside – yet the village pub is only a ten-minute stroll away. The spacious yurts are thoughtfully furnished with proper double beds (high-quality mattresses), self-inflating airbeds for children, rugs, fairy lights and outdoor firepits for evening gatherings. Head height is generous, and the well-spaced pitches ensure you won't feel on top of your neighbours.
A washing-up area, good compost loos and open-top showers serve the site, and the location rewards walkers: turn one way for Barcombe's pub (complete with skittle alley), the other for a riverside spot half an hour's walk away where you can hire boats or launch paddleboards. Do note you'll need to bring your own bed linen, pillowcases and towels – a small trade-off for such a lovely rural perch within easy reach of Lewes.

We hired the site for a 30th birthday party and had a fabulous time. There is everything you need provided and the pods were clean as were the showers and toilets. The owners were super helpful and the site was well placed near shops and wild swimming. We had an excellent weekend playing games in the centre field we would highly recommend for a group event. This is not glamping, no luxury in fact very basic. Pods leak, no where to cook undercover when it rains, expensive tiny extra beds. It is very basic and expensive too.
