About Boathouse Farm Camping
Boathouse Farm Camping occupies a peaceful riverside spot on an organic working farm near Isfield, with pitches spread along the banks of the River Ouse. It's a relaxed, back-to-basics sort of place — campfires are allowed, dogs are welcome, and there's no Wi-Fi to distract from the surroundings. Families appreciate the freedom for children to roam, while the proximity to the water appeals to wild swimmers and canoeists.
The site's position in the heart of Sussex makes it a practical base for exploring the South Downs or visiting nearby villages. Facilities are straightforward — showers, toilets, drinking water — and the farm setting adds a genuine rural feel. Some visitors note that pitches can get muddy after heavy rain, but most find the trade-off worthwhile for the setting and the easygoing atmosphere.

What visitors say
Lovely little spot on the river, clean, effective and well maintained shower and toilet facilities. A short 3 minute walk and a visit to the Anchor Inn is a must too

We have just returned from our second visit to Boathouse farm. It is a very wonderful campsite with all the things we want from a campsite, toilets, warm showers and washing up points. Not overcrowded and run by a lovely people. Looking forward to next year.

We loved our stay at Boathouse Farm Campsite. The site is absolutely massive, so even when it’s busy, it still feels peaceful and spacious. One of the best parts is the River Ouse running right through the middle — it adds so much to the atmosphere and makes for a lovely swim or paddle on a hot day. Beautiful surroundings, plenty of space, and a really relaxed vibe. Will definitely be back.

Nice basic campsite in a big farm in a lovely area. Loads of room for pitching up away from others. Facilities pretty basic but do the job. My biggest moan is the cost. £20 per person per night adults and £10 for kids so £60 a night for us which I think is a tad steep for what’s on offer there.
