Branston Moor Campsite
Moor Ln, Lincoln LN4 1JA, UK
Small working-farm campsite four miles from Lincoln with dark skies and cathedral views
About Branston Moor Campsite
Branston Moor Campsite sits on a working farm four miles south-east of Lincoln, where sheep and horses graze the surrounding fields and on clear evenings the cathedral appears in the distance across open farmland. The site is known locally for its dark skies, making it a proper spot for stargazing once the sun sets. Pitches accommodate tents, caravans and motorhomes, with electric and non-electric options, plus a shepherd's hut and upcycled trailer pod for those travelling without kit (both require a minimum two-night stay).
Facilities are kept simple—toilets, showers, washing-up points and a campfire pit—with fresh eggs from the farm's hens sold most days. There's no shop, pool or wifi, which suits the back-to-basics character, though Branston village is within two miles for pubs and provisions. The combination of genuine farm surroundings and easy access to Lincoln's cathedral and castle makes this a solid choice for visitors wanting rural quiet without being cut off from the city. Open Easter through October, with other dates by arrangement; dogs welcome.

What visitors say
Such lovely place to be and so close to Lincoln. Branston village only 5 mins away with shop and a chippie so all good. So quiet surrounded by tree lined hedges and fields. Sheep and horses in the fields with the sounds of birdsong

Beautiful and quiet campsite. The owner was very polite and friendly. He didn't bother us at all during our 3 night stay at Easter, always a smile and a 'hello' whenever he walked past. Toilets and showers were really really clean. The horses in the field next to us were lovely to see every day. Lots of wildlife, kestrels, kites, squirrel, pheasants. Fires allowed in the fire pits available on site, BBQs allowed. Perfect place for a quiet getaway. We will definitely be returning. Who wouldn't? It's lovely.

For a campsite with some facilities it's a good place to stay. The owner is friendly and there's toilets, a kitchen shed and a couple of shower sheds. Electricity points are a little limited, so a long cable would be a wise choice. Overall a pleasant place to stay.
