About Hartsholme Country Park Campsite
Hartsholme Country Park Campsite occupies a quiet corner of Lincoln's 200-acre country park, originally the grounds of a Victorian mansion and now a public green space of woodland, meadow and twin lakes. Run by City of Lincoln Council, the site offers 32 touring pitches with hook-ups and two heated camping pods for those travelling without a tent. Facilities are straightforward – showers, toilets, chemical disposal and drinking water – and dogs are welcome on leads. A short stroll brings you to the park's visitor centre, café and children's playground, while direct access to the footpath network around Hartsholme and Swanholme Lakes means you can explore the grounds without moving the car.
The site operates seasonally from March to October and sits close enough to the city that Lincoln Central station and the cathedral quarter are roughly 25 to 30 minutes on foot or a quick bus ride away. It's a practical choice for families and tourers who want a country-park setting without sacrificing access to Lincoln's historic core, though the facilities can feel a little basic for those used to more polished sites.

Unbeatable value for money if you ask me. We've just had a relaxing two night stay at this lovely little site and loved every minute of it. Granted, the toilet and shower facilities ain't state of art, but they're clean, the showers are hot, and there's none of that - pressing the shower button every 20 seconds - nonsense! The campsite is within the grounds of the beautiful Hartsholme Country Park, which has endless trails through the acres and acres of woodland and lakes. There's a cafe in the park just a few yards from the campsite. Although we never used the cafe, it did seem very popular. There is a bus stop about a 5 minute walk from the site with buses every 15 minutes to Lincoln city centre. However, on our second day, as the weather was so lovely, we decided to walk into the city centre and back. It's around a 50 minute walk each way on flat terrain. There is also a dedicated cycle route from Hartsholme Country Park into the city centre. Already thinking about our next stay here!

Stayed here for two nights. Warden was very friendly and helpful. First night we just walked round the lakes in the park. Second day we got the bus into Lincoln. Bus stop about 5 minutes from campsite. Toilets /shower are basic, but kept spotlessly clean and very warm. Great site to chill out or for visiting Lincoln. Highly recommended we will definetely return. :)

Wow this is a lovely little gem of a site. Had a lovely relaxing couple of nights here. Staff very friendly and helpful. If only all uk campsites were this cheap. The surroundings are so pretty very dog friendly with lots of woods and trails to walk through. Facilities are basic but theres hot water and they are clean. Will defo be going back.
