Holiday Inn Express Lincoln City Centre

We stayed just for two nights, predominantly to visit the Cathedral and Castle. Room 208 checked in 26/05/2026 Staff could not do enough to make our stay any better. Freindly, courteous and professional but with a appearance of caring. The room was a standard double on 2nd floor and could not fault the room. Would have liked a fridge but that was just a wish on most places we stay. Whilst the hotel is slightly out of the way, there were very frequent buses to the city and a day ticket will get you just about anywhere, including up Steep Hill (thank god!!) We would definitely return and highly recommend the Holiday Inn express 👍

I haven't stayed in a holiday inn express for many years. My expectations were certainly exceeded with this hotel. The main comparison between other hotels whilst the cleanliness and the decoration of the room it was spotless. I absolutely love having how to hold where you can open a window and have fresh. The breakfast is really good and included with the price of the room. Parking was no issue and there is a parking payment machine opposite the lifts. Also the hotel has a microwave and plates, cutlery should you wish to heat your own food quite incredible! We were checked in by Robin who is genuinely caring attentive knowledgeable and genuine, a lot of front of how staff are sometimes quite robotic! The rooms are well equipped there's an iron iron ,board hair dryer. Also the one thing that this hotel chain stands out from the rest is that you have the traditional way of hanging sign on the door if you want to your room to be refreshed and towels. The one disappointing for me since covid is that so many hotel chains of adopted a no housekeeping policy on short stays. I have to say whenever I will be needing a hotel again I will be looking for a holiday inn express!

Great hotel Staff are super friendly. Especially young guy on reception on Sunday afternoon very chatty. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Location is good 10-15 min walk to the centre. Breakfast was basic but staff work so hard to keep it well stocked so can’t fault them. Really good value for money.

The people working here made our stay here special - what a brilliant team…especially Craig, Lorna and Luke who couldn’t do enough to make us (& our dog) feel welcome. From the friendly check in where they provided a dog welcome pack to the greeting at the daily breakfast, we loved our stay. The only issue we experienced was the small bed and duvet, and the pillows weren’t very comfortable. Overall a great stay and would highly recommend to anyone staying in Lincoln, especially if you’re travelling with your dog!
