About Castle Hotel & Apartments
Castle Hotel & Apartments occupies a Grade II listed building on Westgate, wedged into the small triangle of streets between Lincoln Castle and Lincoln Cathedral, arguably the most historic address in the city. Its 20 individually styled bedrooms and three serviced self-catering apartments combine period features with contemporary bathrooms, including drench and walk-in showers, and the hotel has held a TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice Top 10% ranking.
The on-site Reform Restaurant serves contemporary European food, and the adjoining Lounge Bar offers lighter meals and drinks through the day, both popular with guests staying elsewhere in the city as well as residents. An on-site car park and EV charging points are useful additions in a part of Lincoln where street parking is limited.
Guests consistently highlight the location, close enough to both the castle and cathedral to reach either on foot in a couple of minutes, along with the quality of the interior design and the attentiveness of round-the-clock staff, making it a popular choice for couples marking a special occasion.
Guests consistently praise this hotel for its excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, rooms offering castle views, and good value for money. They particularly appreciate the freshly cooked-to-order breakfast.
Some reviews mention the rooms can be poorly maintained.
