Nestled in the hills but a whole different world once you get inside. The facilities are no-frills but just what you need and run with love The custodians of the caves are passionate and knowledgeable. We very much enjoyed our tour. Consider hiking there if you can.

Very interesting and entertaining info from the guide. Well worth a visit to learn about blue john and mining. Nice gift shop. Hold on to the rails as it's a bit slippy in places. If you're not good with stairs this probably isn't for you. If you're a keen walker there are trails leading here, there's also a bus to it and parking if you're driving.

Set just above Castleton in the North of Derbyshire. The guide was very informative and kept us laughing on the way down and then back up. It was very warm on the day we arrived but by the time we headed to the bottom it was eight degrees Celsius .. so take a fleece with you if you aim to go this summer. A bit pricey at £18 per person although if you are over 65 then this drops by three quid.

Great tavern. Lots of steps down and back up, so need to be fairly fit but all done with a tour guide and at a nice pace. Very interesting tour guide and amazing cavern. Can even take your dog in with you! Shop and toilets on site and free parking. No booking online just pay on the day.
