About Waterside Farm Campsite

Waterside Farm Campsite sits in Edale, deep in the Peak District valley, and pitches overlook farmland and moorland. The site is small and works on a simple setup: you arrive to open field pitches where you pitch your tent or caravan among the grazing land and walking routes that define the area. Facilities are basic—showers are on site—which suits those after a genuine back-to-basics experience rather than extensive amenities.

Edale itself is the starting point of the Pennine Way, so this is proper hiking territory. The village has a pub and shop within walking distance, but the draw here is access to moorland and valley walks straight from the campsite. It suits walkers and those who want the landscape to be the main event.

This rustic working farm site offers great views. 2 people in a campervan was £20 p/n with no EHU. Fresh water is available, together with the opportunity to empty your grey & back water. The sanitary block is basic, but does the job. The train line is only 1 field away, and the train station itself is only a short walk from the site. Good location for walks. A couple of good pubs also within walking distance. Good 3 & EE mobile.

This campsite is in a wonderful location just a short drive from the beautiful village of Edale. The views from the campsite are second to none. Owner was very helpful on arrival. There are three toilets and a shower in the ladies and two toilets and a shower for the men. The downside - grass needed cutting. The blue roll to dry hands on in the ladies ran out on the Friday evening and hadn't been replaced by Sunday morning. One of the toilets ran out of toilet roll and wasn't replaced. One of the sinks were blocked in the washing up area which meant food was left behind in the sink. Overall it was ok £10 each per night. Could do with a few improvements.

Great campsite, clean and well stocked toilets, great views. Super fast replies from the owner as we only reached out 24 hours before arrival and still no issues. Loved seeing the animals in the fields, amazing proximity to trails and train station. We would definitely recommend!
