We went here on the hottest day of the year, the walk up the steps and path from the road nearly killed me, despite only being about 500m or so. (It was the heat! Honestly!) The place itself is quite interesting and a nice distraction for an hour or so. The caverns are lovely and cool on a hot day, the staff said its around 11'c inside. It was around 32'c outside so it seemed a lot colder, (refreshing) inside. Informative and interesting trip out overall. There is a snack bar and seating on site so you can have a drink and sit down after the tour. The views are amazing all around. The parking was on the main road and was plentiful when we went. There were a few school parties up there also which made it slightly busy but it was not an issue. The place is dog friendly and they had water bowls for our dogs.

Absolutely loved it here! The staff were kind, friendly and helpful. The cavern is stunning. As a self guided tour using an app you get to listen and learn and understand at your own pace. The gift shop was filled with beautiful treasures and jewellery aswell. We would definitely recommend it here and we also went for a walk round castleton and found lovely little shop and eateries. Lovely day out for everyone

Amazing place. Staff were very enthusiastic and made sure we had a great experience. We had a great time. The phone app was well made and narration very high quality from the family owning the site. It would have been great to have a small booklet version on sale for a few pounds with the narration written out and photographs, for remembering the experience. Gift shop was really great and fair prices

We visited on Bank Holiday at the start of a walk. The cave experience was brilliant, so much more than you’d expect. The staff were friendly and helpful, the audio tour was easy to follow and informative. It was great value for money - and refreshingly cool on a very hot day!
