About Premier Inn Liverpool North
North Liverpool is best known for Aintree Racecourse, and Premier Inn Liverpool North makes a practical base for it, sitting just off Northern Perimeter Road with free on-site parking and straightforward transport links into the city centre. The area also has golf, fishing, horse riding and pubs within reach for anyone wanting to fill a day beyond the hotel itself.
The hotel has 83 rooms spread across two floors, each with an en-suite bathroom and drinks available in the room, plus accessible rooms for those who need them. Beds are comfortable and rooms are kept clean and spacious, though some are showing their age rather than feeling freshly refurbished. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, which counts for a lot on a short stay.
A restaurant on site serves breakfast and other meals, so there's no need to head out after a day at the races or on the road, and 24 hour reception means arrivals at odd hours aren't a problem. It's a straightforward, well-run option for anyone needing a comfortable, no-fuss stopover in this part of Liverpool.
What guests say
Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this Premier Inn. The customer service was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff throughout, and both check-in and check-out were quick and hassle-free. The location was also a big positive – it’s an easy drive to the city centre while being far enough away to avoid the late-night noise and disruption from people out drinking, making for a much quieter stay. The only downside was that the hotel and rooms are looking quite dated and worn. They were clean and functional, but they could definitely benefit from some refurbishment and modern upgrades to bring them up to the standard of newer Premier Inn locations. If ever back in the area, this is a hotel I would consider returning to.

Stayed here 2 nights for work. Ten minute walk from Old Roan train station. Bit treacherous on foot, though, due to having to cross very busy roads, half of which don't have lights on the pedestrian crossings, so you have to take your life in your hands. There's a Beefeater restaurant attached to the hotel. The room was very clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed and pillows, a nice hot shower and plenty of fluffy white towels. The staff are all very helpful and lovely.

I have had absolutely the worst experience of a hotel stay in 30 years. The room is 31C at 0100. No aircon. The supplied fan is pointless and we are having the worst possible experience ever. The receptionist response “sorry we never have had aircon” though the website said they do and every room has an aircon thermostat. Worst hotel experience ever

Had an unfortunate housing emergency and had to move out temporarily, stayed here for a few nights and was made to feel really welcome, staff are lovely, Kyra looked after me the first night, made me feel less upset about my situation, cant fault any of the staff, my room was spotless, bed was really comfortable, staff available around the clock. Would definitely recommend staying here. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
