About Stables Inn Aintree
Stables Inn Aintree has the feel of a traditional coaching inn, its low-slung, pub-style frontage sitting on Ormskirk Road just outside Liverpool city centre. It's a straightforward, no-frills hotel built around the business of a good night's sleep and easy access to Aintree Racecourse, rather than any grand architectural statement.
Rooms are en-suite, with family and accessible options available, and come with drinks facilities and free WiFi. Beds are a particular strength, with comfortable mattresses noted often enough to be a fair expectation, though some rooms show their age and could do with a bit more upkeep. Breakfast is served on site, staff are on hand around the clock at 24-hour reception, and free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward.
The location works well for a range of interests: golf, horse riding and entertainment venues are all nearby, along with a choice of pubs, bars and restaurants for evening meals. It suits visitors heading to the races or using Aintree as a base for exploring Merseyside, with the value for money and the helpfulness of staff standing out as the main draws.

What guests say
Rooms were good for the price, it was mainly used as a bed as we were visiting Liverpool for the Foo Fighters. Great location next to racecourse and opposite the metro so getting into town was a breeze. Toby carvery over the road for food option, and good parking.

Room was ok, would do with some carpets cleaning and removing cob webs from the corners, the worst was unchanged single bed where cleaning staff decided to flip it over used duvet with dog hair and paws prints allover, thats not ok! Went to report that and lovely lady from reception was very apologetic and rushed and changed bed for us, it is sad that cleaning staff are so unprofessional. Otherwise location was great and we had restful sleep.

Unfortunately not a great experience. I paid for a booking on behalf of a friend and specifically asked for my card details not to be stored or reused, which they confirmed had been done (clearly not!). Despite this, my card was charged multiple times without my consent. I had to chase refunds and was repeatedly told the issue had been resolved when it had not. While the matter was eventually corrected, the process was time-consuming and stressful. I would have expected much better handling of sensitive financial information

Great location with decent parking. Walking distance to a Toby carvery and a gym. Friendly helpful staff greeted us on arrival. Unfortunately let down by the room. Very overdue on an update. Mattress was very uncomfortable, bathroom had chipped bath and stained sealant around the toilet. I did notice a skip in the car park so maybe the rooms are being updated.
