About Smeaton serviced Accommodation

Kirkdale sits within easy reach of Anfield and Liverpool city centre, and it's here that Smeaton Serviced Accommodation offers a no-frills base for visitors who want flexibility over fuss. The area gives quick onward access to the city's main draws while keeping to a quieter, residential feel around Smeaton Street itself.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and the option of family accommodation, along with in-room drinks and city views. A kitchen and snack bar are available on site, useful for guests who prefer to sort their own meals, and a laundry service covers longer stays. Reception operates around the clock, which suits those arriving at odd hours or needing help outside normal office times.

Free parking can be found nearby, and the surrounding streets offer pubs, restaurants and other eateries within easy walking distance, plus a golf course and entertainment options for those wanting more than a bed for the night. It should be said that guest feedback on the property has been mixed, so this suits travellers prioritising location and practicality over polish.

Don’t even consider booking with this place. Reached out morning of booking to get the code to get in when we arrive in afternoon. Got refused and when I said I would like it earlier as the reviews said they bailed out on people at the last minute got told to ‘go away’ and ‘not giving u a room’ Then received an email a couple hours later from booking.com and the host saying he was full and to go and stay in his friends place. Absolutely a scam.

Wouldn’t even give one star. The owner is god awful at communication- if you want GUARANTEED accomodation, do not book. We’d been messaging the owner for MONTHS asking for early check in (we were willing to pay extra) and he just kept saying he couldn’t tell us cos he didn’t know the availability even though it’s his air b n b and how hard is it to say yes or no? We’d been asking for ages and it got to the night before and he still hadn’t confirmed if we’d get early check in? We were left with nowhere to stay due to owners god awful communication. It’s a scam and please don’t give your money to an owner who operates on greed and inconsistency and not a desire to provide excellent customer service. Calling this appalling would be euphemistic.

The place is located 20 minutes from the Anfield Stadium which is a big plus. We stayed in one storey building next to the main building. The rooms were renovated, new equipment, but it was dirty. The floor was sticky and needed dusting. The fridge didn't work and it smelled inside. In addition, the garbage from the last guests was not taken out. There was also a pile of rubbish in front of the building. The purity of the object can be estimated at 1 star.
