Set on the edge of peaceful Llanbedr village, just two miles from the coast, The Mill Caravan Park and Camping Site offers a wide open field with vistas over thickly forested hills and the river Artro flowing metres from the pitches. The location is a winner for exploring Snowdonia National Park - Barmouth and Harlech are 15 minutes' drive, Portmeirion's pastel houses 25 minutes - while walkers, cyclists and climbers will find endless terrain on the doorstep. Llanbedr's shops, pubs and restaurants sit five minutes' walk away, and the railway station about 20 minutes on foot, making resupply and onward travel straightforward.
The site welcomes families, motorcyclists and Duke of Edinburgh groups, with barbecues and dogs allowed all year. Pitches are non-electric grass for tents and motorhomes, each with car parking and a picnic table. Facilities are simple - shower, toilet block, washing-up area - and some visitors note the site can feel a little tired in places, but the transport links, spectacular scenery and proximity to coast and mountain more than compensate.

Great location within walking distance to local shop which was open late and sold bags of ice !! Choice of 2 pubs both serving food . Local buses to Barmouth /Porthmadog and also quite near to train station . Fantastic walking area. The site was well managed friendly with basic but clean facilities and lovely field . Not a regimental site which is exactly why I liked it .

Absolutely perfect for us, quiet quirky close to village 2 mile walk to beach however 1 mile from coastal train, nantcol waterfall 40 min walk , John (host ) great guy if you want peace and quiet I recommend. Basic camping not for snobs

⭐☆☆☆☆ Welcome to Camp Purgatory™, the only holiday destination where you can experience all seven plagues of the apocalypse in one convenient tiny field. The toilets? Oh, my dear reader, the toilets. Imagine walking in and being greeted by a seat so thickly coated in poo it could’ve been carved into a relief sculpture. Next to it sat a soaking wet toilet roll, slumped on the side like a drowned rat, offering all the absorbency of a lasagna sheet. Five-star hygiene, right there. The walls? A patchwork mural of mysterious brown stains. Honestly, it was less “bathroom” and more “crime scene investigation training facility.” The shower cubicle looked like it was painted during the Cold War and then abandoned — the peeling paint flakes hung off like confetti from hell. We did not enter. We valued our lives. Amenities included: • 2 toilet cubicles (for the entire camp), meaning long queues for the privilege of trauma. • Half a tap (I still don’t understand how you half a tap — was it bitten off by a dog? Eaten by the spiders?). • Unlimited spiders, which I believe are the actual landlords of the site. • Acoustic entertainment: Drunk people shouting until 4 a.m. and dogs barking like they were auditioning for Lassie vs. Cujo. The field itself was so small I thought we’d mistakenly pitched in someone’s back garden. But no, this was the official campsite — smack dab in the middle of nowhere, with all the charm of a landfill site on a damp Tuesday. We evacuated at 8 a.m., beaten, battered, and spiritually unclean. I have genuinely had better nights of sleep at motorway service stations. Final verdict: If you’re looking for a camping trip that combines the ambiance of a haunted bus stop with the hygiene standards of a medieval plague pit, look no further. Otherwise, RUN.

Owner made inappropriate comments over members of our group staying with us. Threatened he would puncture our tyres if he didn’t like us with his bow and arrow. Was woken up at 1Am to him walking around our tent shouting nonsense at us. Feeling threatened we packed our stuff and left 1 night into our 2 night stay. Overpriced for camping in a field, no running water, “toilet” portaloo didn’t work. Wouldn’t recommend at all.
