What visitors say
Absolutely lovely place. Very chilled and relaxed atmosphere. Good size pitches. Staff friendly and welcoming. Stunning location with nice walks to go on. Quite remote, with no supermarkets near by, so important to bring supplies with you.. although there is a small shop in the nearby village, along with a lovely pub. The no music policy feels odd at first- but it does allow you to hear the birds and really connect with nature whilst here :) The fire pits available for hire are brilliant and well worth the small fee. We aren’t pitched near the water, so can’t hear it- but those that are must love it! Lastly. The toilet and shower facilities really are as immaculate as others mention.

If God created the earth in six days, I'm fairly certain they rested here on the seventh. I am blown away by this campsite, we set up next to the river and my daughter spent hours upon hours paddling and exploring. The waterfalls are a delight to sit in on a hot day and the pools are deep enough to jump into. The shop is well appointed and a pub of uncommon excellence is a short two mile walk away through delightful forest and country lanes. A small van makes pizzas on some evenings and they are a joy to sit next to the river and eat. Laundry facilities were clean and cheap, showers were clean, as were the toilets. I will forever measure all other campsites against this one and I imagine they will all be found lacking. An absolute must stay for families.

Absolutely brilliant campsite! Very chilled relaxing and well kept site! Spotlessly clean, probably the nicest showers and toilets on a campsite I’ve seen! Very scenic location with the river running through the site, waterfall trail was a nice easy 40 min circular from the campsite, bonus that they allowed our 3 dogs too! 20 minute drive to Harlech beach and it far from Snowdonia hikes made this perfect ! We will stay here every time we visit North Wales in the future! We laid by our pitch and all we could hear was birds singing! Perfect!!

I’ve been coming to this magical place at least once per year since I was 9 months old. Since it was just a field with a few port-a-loos. Even then it was fantastic and it is now by far and a way the best camp site in the UK. The locations is idilic, beautiful waterfalls and stream that runs through the site as well as huge woodlands to explore. There are fishing facilities, rope swings dotted all sliver the place and trees to climb all. The shower, toilet and washing facilities are second to none, as is the shop and pizza oven. I have now had the chance to introduce the next generation to this spot of heaven and I hope it will be around my my kids and grandkids. I want my ashes spread here, it’s a home from home.
