About Montclare

Llandudno's North Parade sits close to the seafront, and Montclare occupies a spot on this stretch, giving guests a straightforward base for taking in the town and the wider North Wales coast. Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks in room, and sea views, with family rooms available for those travelling with children, and luggage storage and 24 hour reception on hand for early arrivals or late departures.

The hotel itself keeps things simple, relying on the surrounding area for entertainment, dining and drinking, with a pub or bar and a restaurant or eatery both nearby. Free WiFi is provided throughout for guests who want to stay connected.

Outside the hotel, the area offers plenty for active guests, with cycling and walking routes close by, along with golf, fishing and watersports on offer for those wanting to get out onto the coast or countryside. It makes Montclare a practical choice for a North Wales break built around the outdoors as much as the town itself.

We have had a lovely stay here again this year, staying for 5 nights this time . Lovely staff that make you really welcome. Always happy ,polite and helpful. So nice that we did not want to leave. The hotel is in a perfect location so close to the pier and seafront with the main shopping street nearby and main bus stops to get to Rhyl,Bangor and Conwy for days out to visit in the area once you have explored the lovely Llandudno and the Great Orme. We had a front room this time with a perfect sea view and the Little Orme . What a lovely view to look out to each day. Thank you Montclare.

A lovely stay. Perfect location, a few seconds from the promenade, with lots of good restaurants around. Great view of the sea, beautiful buildings opposite and people (and dog) watching 😊 We had room 8 which is the one with a 4 poster bed, cream walls, and armchairs in a big bay window. At £94/night average for 5 nights we were very happy. The decor isn't spotless, but it was clean and the bathroom was modern. The windows open properly for fresh air if it's hot. We had a very warm welcome and there was a bell to press if we needed anything (we didn't). Spare loo rolls, milk and tea bags on a trolley in reception was very helpful. We wouldn't look anywhere else if we come back. Beware of the seagulls, one tried to snatch our cookies through a closed window!! And if you buy an ice cream they will stalk you through the streets and then descend en masse! Edited to add - new loo seat needed, can't cost much and would make a big difference.

Stayed here a couple of nights. Very nice hotel very clean. Had a sea view room from the 3rd floor. Stairs might be too much for the elderly/disabled as no lifts. Room had everything we needed a fan, and maybe a little fridge would have made it perfect!

Clean room but no heating and the tv didn't work. No radiator in bathroom so too cold to take a shower.
