You can pitch in open fields, a wildflower meadow or woodland clearings – there's plenty of space to spread out, let the kids loose on hidden tree swings, and walk dogs freely. Facilities keep things wonderfully simple: a composting loo, shower, washing-up area and ice-pack freezing for supplies. The owners sell firewood and freshly laid eggs, so crackling campfires and proper breakfasts are sorted.
Parking sits just 30 seconds from the pitches, though you'll want a torch after dark as there's no site lighting. For restocking, Cross Hands supermarkets are 15 minutes away, and when cooking feels like too much effort, nearby pubs and takeaways step in. Venture further to Carmarthen's castle and markets (20 minutes) or Llanelli's long dog-friendly beach (25 minutes). It's remote, peaceful and genuinely wild – perfect if you're after scenery and simplicity rather than polished facilities.

After my husband died in 2022 I was looking to connect with more like minded people and I can across Kathy and Dave’s camp in a women’s group I belong to. I missed the first event in April but made it to the June one and several others that year. I made so many lovely friends, and have visited many times since then, learning how to forage, create a chair from wood, how to do tie dye, and attended many wonderful workshops. The place now feels like home, keep up the great work guys!

Me and my 3 children went to one of Kathy's and Dave's gatherings and really enjoyed it. We made some amazing memories and lovely friendships. Such a magical place.

I recently attended a mother and daughter reconnection retreat for the weekend. From start to finish it was amazing!! Kathy and Dave were so welcoming and getting their children involved as well made it much more fun. They thought of everything and nothing was too much trouble. The area is beautiful and the tents are very comfy. My daughter didn't want to leave! If you want to spend the weekend connecting with your family or just want to switch off and be in nature, then I highly recommend this site.
