What visitors say
We had such a fantastic stay at Dolydd Campsite and wouldn’t hesitate to return. First off, the host – Gareth! What an absolute legend! He’s incredibly friendly, welcoming and genuinely goes above and beyond for everyone staying at the campsite. It’s amazing to see him running the site on his own, constantly on the go checking in with guests, making improvements and always happy to help. You can tell he really cares about creating the best experience possible, and it definitely shows. The campsite itself is in a brilliant location, only around 10 minutes from the town and beach, but peaceful enough to enjoy the beautiful views and relax. It’s a great size too, not overcrowded, so you never feel like you’re on top of other campers. The facilities are excellent. There are two shower rooms and three toilets split across two blocks, all kept clean and well looked after. Gareth has added thoughtful touches like toiletries, music, a bookshelf and DVDs for guests to use, which really make a difference. He’s even building another facilities block, showing his commitment to continually improving the site. There’s also a communal washing-up area with hot water and everything you need, plus a well-organised recycling and waste area. We hired a fire pit from Gareth, which was a fantastic addition to our camping trip and made the evenings even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a friendly, well-maintained campsite with stunning views and a host who genuinely cares about his guests, Dolydd Campsite is the place to stay. Highly recommended - we can’t wait to come back!

Gareth is clearly very proud of his site goch shows throughout, very clean facilities, small library of books on offer along with ith dvds. He was very welcoming towards myself and my partner, he is extremely knowledgeable about the local area and offered some great suggestions on places to visit, Cemaes Bay is a truly amazing place and just a short walk from the campsite, the village has everything you need. As someone who camps regularly I would highly recommend this site

Cemaes Bay Camping Dolydd Whilst walking the coastal path I arrived here very tired and hot ,not having booked in advance. The main thing to mention here is Gareth the owner was just fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for him, despite being very busy running a busy site he provided a camping chair and an electric extension to charge my battery packs, both really appreciated for a walker. The facilities were immaculately clean and well maintained, the site was within a short walk from the village which has a few pubs , chippy and a shop. Not far from the coastal path so a brilliant stop over for walkers but also a great place for anyone wanting to stay on Anglesey. Highly recommended.

I stayed here for three nights in June and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The location is fantastic, just a five-minute walk from the beautiful bay and the friendly village of Cemaes Bay, which has everything you need. There are two lovely routes to the beach: either through the village itself or along the scenic river walk, which I particularly enjoyed. The site is exceptionally well run by Gareth, who greets you on arrival and makes sure everything is just right. He was incredibly welcoming and took great care to ensure my caravan was perfectly positioned and level. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and his local knowledge was invaluable. Following his recommendation, I took the dog on the coastal path heading clockwise around Anglesey to the old church, which rewarded us with stunning panoramic views across the north coast. The campsite itself is spotless and beautifully maintained. The facilities are excellent, with two separate blocks providing showers, toilets, washing-up areas and recycling facilities. I was particularly impressed by the recycling arrangements – one of the few sites I've visited during a month-long trip that caters for everything, right down to food waste. The showers require a £1 coin for around ten minutes of hot water, which I found more than ample. Given how reasonably priced the site is, this seemed a fair and sensible way of encouraging responsible water use. I was lucky enough to have a pitch with wonderful sunset views, and on a clear day you can even see the Isle of Man and the mountains of Cumbria on the horizon. All in all, this is a superb campsite in a beautiful part of North Wales. Friendly, immaculately maintained, excellent value for money and perfectly located for exploring Anglesey. I wouldn't hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
