Direct access to the Llangollen Canal towpath – part of National Cycle Network Route 85 – means you can walk, cycle or even catch a horse-drawn barge to the nearby Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. The River Dee runs alongside for whitewater rafting, tubing and paddleboarding, while medieval castles and stately homes sit within half an hour's drive. It's a brilliant base for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts who still want proper creature comforts back at camp.

What visitors say
We were warmly welcomed by Paula and given further info (lots of info sent in our email as well) about the site and our pitch. The ground was mostly level, and we had plenty of space. Facilities were near the entrance and were very clean. Close to the canal tow path and to the disused railway path, both of which lead into Llangollen. On Sunday morning a food van sells breakfast baps for a few hours...they were very tasty! Take plenty of bug spray, we needed it on our visit.

Well what a fantastic site , spaces/pitches are well apart, you have everything on your pitch ,ehu,water,and grey waste Easy access to the old railway track and canal into Llangollen. great staff /wardens The site is well kept and tidy We just had 3nights there for just over £100 And we will definitely be back Great place to just chill out and do nothing but watch the wildlife around you

Great little campsite. Clean and warm facilities also with laundry facilities, elson and drive over grey waste point. Easy walking to Llangollen along green pathway or over road to towpath. Number 5 bus runs there or in other direction towards Wrexham. It's a 10 minute trip to Trevor for the aqueduct. A pleasant walk back along the towpath and nature reserve. (3.5 miles) Sun Trevor pub for good food at reasonable prices can be reached going back through nature reserve and towpath to bridge 41.

A really good site ie. Facilities, pitches, cleanliness, location, views, walks, on a bus route, town and pubs about 20 min walk. Loads of supermarkets to call into, near by, on the way here. Staff excellent and a very well run site. Highly recommended. 10/10.
