Such a lovely stay at this hidden gem. Stayed for two nights in a double room which was nicely decorated, and had everything we needed. Nice touches like free bottled water (local). We didn't take our dog but room (12) would have been perfect as it had own external entrance. Staff (especially the manager) was friendly, funny & couldn't do enough for us. Despite us being the only residents eating on the first night (restaurant closed to public Mondays), he still opened the kitchen for us. Food was superb, very fresh and tasty. Some older reviews criticise the food but it is obvious the chef has changed so don't let this put you off. Caught the local bus into Llangollen for an an enjoyable and stress free day out. No question, would love to return. Village itself is beautiful, local spar shop next door, new small community cafe, wonderful views and located in the stunning Ceiriog valley. Thanks to the team for a wonderful stay :-)

Lovely hotel, the Manager is fantastic! Very helpful, very funny and the hotel rooms are well maintained. To sum it up just an amazing vibe not to mention the pub is below you! I'd definetely recommend it!

Lovely little village ,rooms were next to main building,clean nicely furnished lovely shower, wifi Will on reception was so helpful and friendly Excellent quiet nights sleep COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST was excellent fresh coffee,tea orange juice ,croissants toast,jam all cereals ,fresh yoghurt fruit ham, cheese all fresh Would highly recommend Thank you Will

Hotel was really lovely. Room clean and had brew making facilities. Staff all lovely. Dinner was also nice as was breakfast. A really gem and we did well to get it for a good price. Our pooch (dog) was also really welcomed. 🙂
