About Belan Bluebell Woods
Tucked into a secluded wildflower meadow on a 60-acre Powys farm, Belan Bluebell Woods delivers a proper nature-filled getaway with thoughtful touches that set it apart. The off-grid setup encourages a digital detox, while each pitch comes with its own firepit, log seating and private compost loo (cleaned daily and well-stocked). A couple of shower shacks serve the handful of guests, and there's a fairy-lit camping barn equipped with games, books, charging points and a communal fridge-freezer for rainy-day comfort.
Owner Suzi, who teaches at a local riding stables, can arrange pony trekking if you fancy exploring the farm's woodland and moorland trails on horseback – some offer spectacular Cambrian mountain views. The popular Friday woodfired pizza nights are a highlight, and you can pre-order barbecue meat or picnic hampers featuring local produce. An honesty shop covers the basics, and the team are generous with recommendations for Llanidloes' independent retailers, just three-and-a-half miles away via footpaths from the farm. Guests rave about the peaceful setting and the warm welcome packs, though do note the remote location means mobile signal can be patchy.

We stopped off here on our way back from Snowdonia- it was such a beautiful drive and on arrival, the campsite didn't disappoint! We had the campervan pitch which was still very private and included a firepit/log seating and our own private toilet. The kids loved playing on the grass area and making obstacle courses using the wheelbarrows (despite the wind and rain!). The newborn lambs was also a bonus- just wish we were there on a pizza night! We will definitely recommend and hope to come back again with friends next season. Thanks Suzy and Joe for your warm hospitality :)

Had a lovely stay ! Lovely scenery and Suzi will go over and above to help. Had an oddly bitterly cold mid May stay but the beds in the geo dome are super comfy and warm and the fire burner really helps ! Lovely local lamb burgers too on the BBQ . Will happily come back xx
