Red Kite Touring Park

Red kite is superb. Everything is immaculate. The views from the site down the valley are lovely. Staff are all so friendly and professional. Toilet and shower block is spotless. We've been twice now and this time was full I think but so so quiet. If you want a lovely relaxing break this is the place for your camper or caravan. For a bit of exercise there's a lovely safe 3 mile walk to the local Dam and historic lead mines. The park gave us a sheet with photos and directions which were easy to follow. Well worth doing.

We have just had a wonderful 6-nignt stay at this touring caravan park and would happily return. From the moment we arrived, the staff stood out as genuinely friendly and helpful, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for the whole visit. The setting is simply beautiful, with stunning views in every direction and a real sense of peace and quiet. Waking up to birdsong each morning felt like nature’s own alarm clock, and spotting red kites soaring overhead was a real highlight. The pitches are another big plus, well-maintained, level, and thoughtfully laid out, making setup easy and stress-free. The facilities are exceptional, easily among the best we’ve experienced. The showers are consistently hot with plenty of water, and the sensor-operated taps and showers are a modern, convenient touch that worked perfectly. There’s also a well-stocked on-site shop covering all the essentials, which is always handy. For those who enjoy a stroll, it’s about a mile into the town centre. It’s an easy walk there, though be prepared for a bit of an uphill stretch on the return journey! Overall, this is a peaceful, well-run site with excellent facilities and a beautiful natural setting. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

10 stars! 🌟 We were only there for one night but would have loved to stay longer. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The sanitary facilities are modern and spotless. There's a fenced, idyllic walking area for dogs with meadows, ponds, and seating areas where they can run off-leash. Within this area, there's another, smaller, very well-fenced enclosure where we could even let our little dachshund off-leash, who can usually squeeze through anywhere. Tom was incredibly helpful to my partner during his first fishing experience, and he proudly caught his first fish! 💪🎣 A huge thank you to Chantelle and Tom for their friendly service and hospitality. You are wonderful hosts.

What a beautiful site! Lovely staff and the amenity block is kept so so spotlessly clean! I loved the wash up room with the books and board games, which we enjoyed playing a few of. The location is also absolutely perfect. Plenty of walks without having to drive anywhere, and a short walk down into the little village of Llanidloes which we did for breakfast and dinner. Electric hookup was great, we didn't use the included amount so actually got a small refund which we weren't expecting, and Wi-Fi was reliable around the site. We also love that it is adult only and is the main reason we chose this site. So much more peaceful this way! Thank you for such a lovely break away ❤️
