An Absolute Gem Near Snowdon – A Truly Wonderful Stay! What a fantastic, peaceful getaway Freddie (my dog) and I had at Llys Derwen Caravan and Campsite! From the moment we pulled in, we were struck by the beautiful, tranquil setting and how incredibly well-maintained the entire site is. It is the perfect, relaxing base camp for exploring the stunning Snowdonia area. A massive shout-out to Nathan, the owner, who is an absolute gentleman and the definition of a perfect host. He went completely above and beyond to make us feel welcome right from the start. He’s incredibly helpful, full of great local knowledge, and genuinely cares about his guests having the best possible experience. His warm hospitality really sets this place apart and gives it a lovely, personal feel. It’s also an absolute haven for dog owners. Freddie was made to feel like a VIP guest, and having a truly dog-friendly space where we could relax made the trip so much sweeter. The Verdict: Spotless facilities, peaceful vibes, stunning surroundings, and top-tier hospitality from Nathan. Freddie and I couldn't have asked for a better stay. We will definitely be back—highly, highly recommended!

One of the best campsites I’ve stayed at in many years of motorhoming. Fantastic location — Snowdon, Portmeirion and Conwy are all an easy drive away, and there’s a bus stop, pub and shops just a short walk from the site. Facilities were spotless and the showers were continuous (no timer buttons!). Our grass pitch with EHU had no metering, and even after heavy rain the ground drained perfectly. This is a lovely family‑run site with a great atmosphere. Nathan, the owner, is friendly, helpful and clearly proud of the place. We enjoyed it so much we extended our stay. We’ll definitely be back.

Great place to pitch up or camp. 👌🏻 We arrived in a motor home and were greeted by Nathan, the owner. Great guy and very friendly. He talked us through the site and gave some tips on walks etc. He showed us the tip of Snowdon from our pitch (picture attached) which we walked the day after arriving. The amenities are well kept and very clean. Nathan is always on hand if you need anything and is always making sure the camp is clean and tidy. You can get a bus from the site (5 minute walk away) to Llanberis or Pen y Pass. Or a taxi - the numbers are all at reception. Highly recommended this place. 👍🏻

Stayed 5 nights in the tent at this lovely site. Can't fault anything. Perfect location for touring the area. Short walk to local pub, food shops, chippy( cash only) & bus stops. Site facilities were very clean. Not a huge amount of showers/wc but had no issues having to wait at all. Good recycling on site ♻️ Nathan & the team were so welcoming & helpful. Great wee site, highly recommend.
