About Lake View Hotel
A cooked breakfast and home-style meals in the restaurant set the tone at Lake View Hotel, where the bar also makes a welcome stop after a day on the hills. Packed lunches can be arranged for those heading out early, and drinks can be brought straight to your room if you'd rather unwind without leaving it.
The hotel has just 10 rooms, each en suite and cosy rather than grand, with several looking out over Llyn Padarn or the surrounding mountains. Free WiFi, 24 hour reception and luggage storage cover the practical side, while a garden and meeting rooms add a bit of extra flexibility for guests staying longer or travelling for work.
Llanberis itself sits by the lake, with paths up Snowdon close at hand and plenty to fill the rest of a stay: walking and cycling routes nearby, fishing and watersports on the water, horse riding, and pubs and restaurants within easy reach. Free on-site parking is available across the hotel's two floors, making it a straightforward base for exploring the area on foot or by car.

Amy and James were wonderful hosts. This place is stunningly beautiful, extremely cozy - and wonderful stay. I was here 2 nights to explore Yr Wyddfa and Llanberis, and this is the perfect launching spot. Great, beautiful location and excellent rooms. Easy walk or bus or drive down to town. And while it stormed while we were here, the downstairs lounge areas were perfect to sit in with hot tea and watch the storms outside. So cozy and friendly. If I make it back to north Wales, I would absolutely stay here again!

I stayed for two nights when I came to take part in the Big Welsh Swim. Amy and James are wonderful hosts and couldn't do enough to make it a great stay. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and everything looked brand new. Amy welcomed me when I arrived and when she found out I'd be leaving before breakfast on the first day to go to the swim provided extra milk for use in the oats I brought with me. The breakfast on Sunday was wonderful - James is a great chef. Overall, really enjoyed my stay and high recommended it to anyone considering staying here too.

amazing place, great location and near to everything- bus stop just outside which was really ideal. Such friendly hosts, so accommodating and helpful. Breakfasts were delicious especially the homemade porridge- and had vegetarian options for us. Rooms were really cosy- it felt like being at home. Whole place very clean and spacious. Great stay, would definitely return!

We had a delightful stay at the Lake View Hotel. Amy and James are wonderful hosts who make you feel instantly welcome, the hotel truly feels like a home away from home. The communal areas are incredibly comfortable, perfect for relaxing, playing games or enjoying a brew or a drink. The bedrooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Every morning we enjoyed a freshly cooked breakfast, which we preordered the night before. Amy was fantastic throughout our entire three night stay. She was always on hand to help with anything we needed and gave us excellent recommendations. We also highly recommend Sawna Bach by the lake in Llanberis for a relaxing Sauna and cold dip, a wonderful experience and The Slate Y Llechan for a fantastic Sunday dinner. We also really enjoyed visiting Penrhyn Castle which is well worth a visit. We couldn't have asked for better hosts or a better base for our trip. Highly recommended!
