What guests say
We had a great stay here on a Saturday night. this pub is for all generations as a venue. The garden was positively buzzing with the gen z etc. the indoor bar was more sedate. The room was fine no complaints and the air con was a bonus. We had a drink at the bar ( one of many) and were served quickly and pleasantly. so, only 1 night but we enjoyed it and had a very relaxed breakfast in the morning. If you need to stay in chistlehurst you will not do badly here.

This is about as luxury as a pub hotel can get. Very comfortable and welcoming. It's clean and has all the little extras you might want. There is a refundable holding charge on check in so come with a credit card expecting this. They leave lots of chargeable treats and toiletries so the hold is to protect them. I don't like it but you forgive it as it's such a nice stay. Comfortable bed, good shower pressure and a temperature that behaves. Lady in restaurant didn't quite grasp the concept of cooked dry and didn't pass it on to the kitchen so was met with runny eggs. Despite that a very tasty cooked breakfast by a decent chef.

Visited for a late lunch / early dinner during the week, it was one of the only places in the area with the kitchen open at a non-standard time. The restaurant was light, pleasant to sit in with varied seating options, and was fairly cool in the hot weather. Service was friendly and accommodating. A nice menu with good veggie options. I had a vegan main of cauliflower, romesco sauce and pomegranate seeds which was tasty, with a good kick to the sauce. I would visit again.

Lovely British pub, polite staff. Dog friendly. Very clean, quiet rooms with air con and comfortable beds. Breakfast table includes pastries, fruit juice fruit, yoghurt, coffee, toast and cereal. Hot food is extra. Beautiful part of Kent with nice shops, great walks, lots of history. Nice church next door. Stayed with my daughter but would be great for couples.
