Beautiful historic building with a fantastic boutique hotel. The staff are lovely and you are offered a glass of bubbles at checkin. The rooms are named not numbered and are across 3 floors. I stayed on the first floor facing the front and found it quiet with a nice tree top view. The room is well designed and bright with nice furnishings and a king sized. Bed. Nice touches like water and cookies to great you in the room and robes and slippers. AC has been appreciated as it has been quite warm.

We had a wonderful stay at the Shipquay Hotel on Sunday June 14! Such a great location! We were directed to public parking just a 4 minute walk away. The employees were so friendly and helpful! Our room was great and nice amenities.. Very quiet even though we looked onto Shipquay street. The location was excellent for exploring the walled city. We at the Shipquay restaurant and it was fabulous! My husband is GF and diary-free and they were so accommodating! We had a delicious meal, including starter, entree and dessert with drinks! Yum! We had a wonderful over the top breakfast! I had the porridge with a dram of honey whiskey! Wow and I'm not a whiskey person. We had done some walking and exploring when we arrived and the next day went on a walking tour they pointed us to on the walls! Such a wonderful tour!! Next time I would stay longer but sadly our trip was ending and we had to head back to US. Please give Derry and the Shipquay hotel a try!

What a great hotel within the walled city of Derry. From the minute we checked in until we checked out everything was perfect. Shannon greeted us with a smile and was happy to help and even offered us a glass of champagne at check in. The room we had was big, exceptionally clean and everything exceeded our expectations, We had breakfast in the restaurant and it was perfect. Looking for a great place to stay, look no further this is great. This hotel is on a very steep hill so something to think about for those that may have difficulty walking otherwise it's perfect. What a cute Boutique hotel. Very comfortable. The staff is amazing. Just a FYI, they do not have parking. You have to park down the street in the car park. Not a horrible walk, especially when you drop off your luggage first (which I highly recommend) To our surprise checking in, our luggage was already waiting for us in our Room. They do not have A/C (yes I am an American that values AC) they did have a fan in the room Thank Goodness. Highly recommend this hotel.
