A lovely escape to peace and quite. Good spacious flat hardstanding and grass pitches all with great views across open countryside. The facilities are realy good with two excellent showers alongside clean toilets and large sinks for pot washing all housed in a warm brick building. Lots of little thoughtful extras too. Little shop (honestly box) selling essentials and a range of toys and games to borrow should the weather be a little wet. Lovely village pub serving excellent food just a 20 minute walk away in Belton. The only issue which isn't a fault of the site itself being the cars and motorbikes that bomb up and down the road which runs alongside.

Its a Camping thing

A truly wonderful campsite. The owners are welcoming and friendly should you need anything. The site is immaculate and the views…..oh the views are stunning. A place where you can be lost in thought watching the clouds roll over the beautiful landscape below. This is a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. A chance to unwind and let that stress that modern day life brings go. There is even a small kiosk which has local information and a few essentials that sometimes we forget. The facilities are equally amazing. With above all privacy. But clean and well thought out too. The site is clearly marked out and its location situated not only in a beautiful setting. But also not too far from towns like Loughborough’s, locations like Donington Park and cities like Leicester, Nottingham and Derby. I visit many campsites in my time and this is one of the very best. And for a campsite not long in the making the owners have made a remarkable job. I for one see myself returning time after time, after time. I feel privileged to have such an incredible campsite on pretty much my doorstep.

This is a lovely, peaceful campsite which I've stayed at a couple of times with my 4 dogs. They are very welcoming. the site is scrupulously clean with good sized pitches and very pleasant views over the Leicestershire countryside. I haven't rated the rooms for obvious reasons (I was in my own tent) - Google seems to think it's a hotel. I hope that doesn't negatively affect the review, because it is a great place.

If you’re after a site that trades commercial fluff for genuine character, Top Merell View is a total winner. We’ve just got back from a brilliant stay and it was exactly the escape we needed. 🚜 The Farm & Pitches This is a genuine working farm, which makes the whole experience feel much more grounded and authentic. • The Views: Absolutely epic. Waking up to nothing but rolling hills was the highlight of the trip. • The Setup: The pitches are excellent—well-spaced and perfectly positioned. • Power: Just a heads-up that there’s no electric hook-up (yet). As long as you’re prepared for a bit of off-grid living, it’s a fantastic way to actually switch off. 🚿 First-Class Facilities The toilet and shower blocks are spot on. They’ve kept them authentic to the farm buildings, but they are superb to use—clean, functional, and far better than many "modern" sites we’ve stayed at. 🐕 Dogs & Local Life • Dog Friendly: It’s a massive plus to find a site that’s so welcoming to dogs; ours settled in immediately. • Honest Shop: The little honesty shop on-site is a great touch for grabbing essentials and really adds to the friendly feel of the place. • Out and About: There are some stunning local attractions and walks nearby. It’s the perfect base for exploring the area or just staying put and enjoying the peace.
