About Barley Fields Holidays
Barley Fields Holidays sits just outside Breedon on the Hill in Derby, offering a surprisingly peaceful retreat despite its touring-friendly location. The site welcomes dogs and runs as adults-only, which keeps things tranquil across its 20 non-electric grass pitches and 9 electric hardstanding touring pitches. There's also a wooden eco house for those after something a little different. Facilities cover the essentials—showers, toilets, waste disposal, drinking water and included WiFi—without any fuss.
It's a solid, no-frills base if you're planning to explore the region, though don't expect luxury touches or extensive on-site entertainment. What you do get is space, a warm welcome for four-legged friends, and a genuinely relaxed atmosphere that campers consistently praise.

What visitors say
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spent one night at Barley Fields with the camper van, my husband, and the dog, and honestly it felt like we'd managed to squeeze a proper holiday into 24 hours. The weather was beautiful, which immediately puts any British camping trip into the luxury category. The site itself was spotless, with really clean toilets and showers that made camping feel far more civilised than it has any right to be. It was wonderfully quiet too. No midnight discos, no noisy neighbours, just birdsong, fresh air, and a dog living its absolute best life. One of the highlights was the sunrise. Sitting outside the van with a cup of tea, watching the sun come up over the site, was absolutely stunning and almost convinced me that waking up early is a good idea. I also loved all the trees that have been planted around the site. It already feels peaceful and green, and you can tell it's only going to become even more beautiful as everything grows. Vibe: Peaceful, relaxed, and the kind of place where time slows down a little. Think birds, sunshine, wagging tails, and the sound of absolutely nothing—which is sometimes exactly what you need. Overall:We only stayed for one night, but it was enough to recharge the batteries, clear the head, and remind us why we love getting away in the camper van. The husband was happy, the dog was happy, and I got to watch a beautiful sunrise with a cup of tea. We'll definitely be back for longer next time. 🚐🐾☀️

Fantastic site, toilets and showers well kept and clean. Nice quiet spot, plenty of room to walk the dog. Breedon only 5 mins walk with 2 great pubs in the village. Plenty of walks available in the area.
