About The Cliffe at Dinham
The Cliffe at Dinham sits directly below Ludlow Castle on the riverside path at Dinham, a five-minute walk from the market square across Dinham Bridge. The property has operated in some form since 1949, and combines a handful of guest rooms with a restaurant that has picked up hospitality and food awards over the years.
Rooms are simply furnished rather than luxurious, in keeping with the building's long history as a family-run restaurant with rooms, and the setting beside the Teme with castle views is the main draw alongside the kitchen.
Its position between the castle and Whitcliffe Common makes it a good base for anyone planning to walk before or after eating, with lunch and dinner served daily and drinks available throughout the day.

What guests say
This hotel is in a wonderful location, 10 minutes walk from the castle and the centre of Ludlow, across the river and up the side street that runs next to the castle. There is ample parking at the hotel (for guests only) and the staff are super welcoming and friendly. Its a 3 star hotel and everything about it tries to be more than this. It is therefore great value for money. They are dog friendly, with dog treats available. They have a pretty deck area out the front of the hotel, ideal for enjoying a beverage from their inhouse bar or meal from their restaurant. The price also included breakfast which had a great selection of options. Homemade granola/porridge with fruit through to a full English. The view from our room had Angus cows to one side and from the front a beautiful view of Ludlow Castle. It was a lovely stay and I would definitely recommend.

Food was delicious and they were happy to tweek some meals. Breakfast cooked to order but surprised that cereals etc were not helpful yourself but a bowl of your choice brought to you Service really good although they seemed short staffed in the evening. Rooms clean and tidy and set over 2 floors , the heating was quite high but most of the other customers did seem older than us so maybe it was done for them Tea and coffee in room and glasses but no bottled water No iron in room . The bed was a nice big size and a good firm mattress Overall a nice weekend away

Room 7 attic room is like an oven in the hot weather! Never stayed in such a small room. Had to ask for a fan. Asked to be moved but told the hotel was full when it's not. Would have paid an upgrade but they obviously can't be bothered to accommodate my request! Having to walk up 3 flights of stairs at almost 70 years of age! Very small full english breakfast and very small bowls for cereal. Charged £2.50 for a small piece of cheese on a burger!! No onions or onion rings. Very overpriced!
