Sheephouse Campsite

Just finished our second visit here in the last couple years, Miriam and Tim are lovely, and always around to help if needed, a nice relaxing weekend with the added bonus of the games room for our 2 (nearly teenager boys) to play in on evenings, after speaking to Tim we would like to wish Mike a speedy recovery, we enjoyed watching him fly the plane last time.. a lovely feature to watch so closely Thank you, we will definitely be back and highly recommend to anyone thinking of booking Kayleigh and Arran

Lovely campsite with great facilities and Tim and Miriam are lovely chatty easy going hosts. There is a new wet room with walk-in shower and baby change facilities which is excellent. Great location near to forest of Dean etc and games room is a bonus for the teens. There is a mini runway next to the field which could be very exciting although no planes around when we stayed. To note - you can hear the road a bit at night but it didn't affect our stay.

Great campsite with perfect facilities and a games room too!... Ideal for all. There's even a small private runway next to you so you can enjoy the entertainment and say you camped at an airport. The couple who owns and operates the sight are very helpful and friendly. Anyone giving a poor review of this site should there even be one, needs to get a life. Thanks for the great weekend.

Family friendly,I think not! First impressions were great. We thought that the facilities were brilliant as had a kitchen,play area ,games room , toilets were great.However,the showers were not suitable for children. Not only do you have to push the button every 5 seconds to turn the water on but each time you do the water is scalding on and off . Ended up washing my 3 children in a washing up bowl. We could have looked past all of that as we are positive and forgiving campers but it all changed when the most unforgivable thing happened. The campsite was full of families and kids were running around playing with their new friends. We kept a close eye on our children by following them and ensuring that they are being respectful and safe(2 of ours are autistic). When my little 4 year old autistic son was playing hide and seek with his little friends he decided to help himself to an apple , from a tree,which was right next to the games room. To which the campsite owner (the lady) decided to start charging for him, raising her voice and grabbing his arm saying that he must give it back. My poor baby weed himself in fear ,run back to me and was sobbing for an hour before he was ok enough to leave the tent again. My little boy was confused as he couldn't understand why the lady didn't want to share 🥺 We have been working so hard on his separation anxiety and now we are back to square one OVER AN APPLE. The anger that I felt inside was unreal. If anyone ever has a problem with a child's behaviour,tell the parents or use words but DON'T EVER lay your hands on them. Absolutely unforgivable .My star score would have been higher but that was all wiped by laying your hands on my child. And before saying that we should have had them under supervision,their dad was watching them trough the kitchen window. And why we didn't confront you?-because we don't fancy being arrested as the rage/anger boiling inside was far to great. We visited to make new memories for our family but instead it has damaged our sons trust in adults and has definitely damaged his confidence,that will take years to rebuild , absolutely devastated
