About Newhaye Farm
Perched on a peaceful hilltop straddling the Devon-Dorset border, Newhaye Farm offers glorious views over Combpyne village towards Musbury and Axminster – and a tranquil alternative to the busier coastal sites. The Jurassic Coast beaches and South West Coast Path lie just ten minutes' drive away, but up here you'll find space to breathe, with a level camping field accessed down a farm track and cars parked separately so children can play safely around the pitches. Well-behaved dogs are welcome year-round and can stretch their legs on the bridlepath skirting the site.
Facilities are pleasingly simple: three flushing loos in a wooden hut, an outdoor shower area with one hot electric shower and a cold bucket shower, plus washing-up facilities and picnic tables. Campfires and barbecues are allowed, making this a great spot for families or groups wanting an unhurried, back-to-basics camping experience. Just pack torches for navigating after dark – the remote hilltop setting means proper country darkness.
