About The Mariners Hotel
The Mariners is a distinctive pink-painted former coaching inn on Silver Street, dating from the 17th century and carrying historic connections to Beatrix Potter, who is understood to have written part of Peter Rabbit while staying there. Its 15 en-suite rooms each have their own character, several with sea views over the rooftops to Lyme Bay.
A restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner uses locally sourced produce, and a large private garden gives guests somewhere quiet to sit away from the street. The hotel is a short, gently sloping walk from the harbour and beach.
Its blend of period charm, central position and relatively relaxed pricing has made it popular with returning visitors who want a proper hotel stay without the premium of the seafront's higher-end options.

Our first time in Lyme Regis just got for one night and we stayed at the Mariners Hotel. It was a very pleasant experience with friendly staff and a very nice breakfast. Comfy bed and nice room. The only criticism I have is that the shower head could do with being changed. We’ll definitely return here though on our next trip to Lyme Regis.

Great couple of days staying at the Mariners hotel. Free car park, which in Lyme Regis is a huge asset. Easy check in and lovely friendly staff. Our room was spacious with a large comfy bed and fabulous view over Lyme to the sea. We decided to eat there and the food prepared by chef Mark was fabulous! Gemma who served us made us feel so at ease and was very attentive. We were sad to leave and will certainly return!

We stopped for one night at this charming Hotel. The staff were lovely, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast, that was included in the cost, was really good with an excellent choice of continental, traditional and pastries.
