Rural Kent around Sittingbourne offers quiet walking country, and The Barnyard sits in this landscape on Gore Farm. A detached house designed and built by its owners, it combines natural stone and cedar with a contemporary interior—polished concrete floors, underfloor heating, and a vaulted living space with reclaimed timber cladding. Full-height glazing opens the main room onto the garden and the fields beyond, while a wood burner provides warmth on cooler evenings.
Three bedrooms and three bathrooms accommodate six guests. The ground floor contains the main living area, kitchen, and two bedrooms—one with a zip-and-link king (convertible to twin beds), the other with two 3ft singles. Both have ensuite showers. Upstairs, a third bedroom with a double sofa bed has a bath. The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking; wifi, bed linen, towels and electricity are included, along with initial logs for the burner. A back garden has seating and a barbecue. Private parking fits three cars. One well-behaved pet is welcome. Smoking is not permitted. The property is yours alone for the duration of your stay.

Where do we even begin! 🤍 We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding day. The BarnYard is absolutely stunning — everything about the venue is beautifully done, and we lost count of how many of our guests told us how gorgeous it was. It was everything we could have hoped for and more. But what really made our experience so special were the people. Tcharna was simply incredible from start to finish. Throughout the whole process she was caring, attentive, thoughtful and genuinely seemed to care about making our day everything we wanted it to be. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and having her there gave us so much confidence that everything was being taken care of. She is an absolute credit to The BarnYard and we genuinely cannot thank her enough. When Tcharna went home later that evening, Caitlyn was equally superb and made sure that same level of care continued throughout the rest of our night. The entire team were fantastic — friendly, professional and attentive, and everything just seemed to run effortlessly. Our DJ was phenomenal too. He read the room perfectly, played to the crowd and kept dropping absolute bangers 😂. The dance floor and atmosphere were exactly what we wanted. Looking back, there genuinely isn’t anything we would change. From the venue and atmosphere to the staff and all the little details, it was the perfect day. We honestly couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding day. From start to finish, everything was absolutely amazing. A huge thank you to Tscharna and Archie, who managed our wedding on the day. They were incredible – so organised, friendly, attentive and made sure everything ran so smoothly. They took all the stress away so we could simply relax and enjoy every single moment. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful and looked even more stunning than we imagined. Every member of staff was so welcoming, professional and genuinely lovely, making both us and all of our guests feel so well looked after. We had the most amazing day celebrating with our friends and family, creating memories that we'll treasure forever. Thank you to everyone at the venue for making our wedding day so special. We would recommend you to anyone looking for the perfect place to get married. ❤️

We had a Twilight wedding here in June at the Apple Barn. The barn itself is so beautiful with fairy lights throughout. The courtyard is great for photos and guests to mingle. Tscharna was our co-ordinator and she couldn’t have done more for us. She did her best to calm any nerves and kept everything running smoothly. All the staff were lovely and so helpful. We went for the evening BBQ option and had lots of guests praising their meal. Would definitely recommend The BarnYard

WHAT CAN I SAY!!! We had our wedding on 25th May 2026, which happened to be the hottest day recorded for a May Bank Holiday. We booked the Barn Yard over 2 years ago and from our initial visit, to booking, to the lead up to the wedding, the big day and afterwards I havent got a single complaint about the venue what so ever. They were always on hand via email, phone call or in person and no question was ever too much. All guests commented on the staff, the beautiful setting of the venue and the food especially. We had literally the perfect day, made the most special by the team at the Barn Yard and we plan to return as often as possible for breakfast or dinner.
