Woolhouse Barn

Woolhouse Barn sits in open countryside around Maidstone, surrounded by farmland and accessible to the walking routes that crisscross the village. The building itself was originally stables beside a Grade II listed barn; it has been converted into a self-contained home with its own entrance and grounds, retaining period features while offering modern comforts. One dog is welcome.

Inside, the ground floor holds a double bedroom with ensuite shower, while upstairs there is an open-plan living space, kitchen and bathroom, plus two further single bedrooms. The kitchen is equipped for cooking – electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher – and wi-fi reaches throughout. Bed linen and towels are provided; heating and electricity are included. There is private parking on site and a garden with furniture; a tennis court is available on the grounds if you want to use it.

The village offers country pubs within walking distance, stocked with local ales and food. Kent and Sussex are easily explored from here, and London is 45 minutes away by car, though there is enough to occupy you locally without leaving – quiet walks, rural air, and the chance to slow down after city life.
