About Premier Inn Manchester City Centre Piccadilly

The Northern Quarter's bars and independent shops are an easy walk from Premier Inn Manchester City Centre Piccadilly, and Piccadilly Station is close by too, making this a practical base for arriving by train or heading out to explore the city's pubs and entertainment venues. Some of the rooms look out over the canal, adding a bit of interest to an otherwise city-centre outlook.

Inside, the hotel has 193 rooms spread across twelve floors, each with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and drinks available in the room. Accessible rooms are available, and a lift serves all floors. There's a 24-hour reception for late arrivals, and the on-site restaurant serves breakfast, which comes recommended by those who've stayed. Chargeable parking is available nearby for anyone driving in.

Rooms are kept clean and modern, and the location is a genuine draw for reaching Manchester's shops, bars and stations on foot. Staff are generally described as friendly and helpful, though service is occasionally noted as inconsistent. For the price, it offers solid value for a stay in the heart of the city.

I don’t stay in Premier Inn hotels very often but this one is brilliant. The ‘Social’ communal area is comfy and stylish, the staff are super helpful and the bar is surprisingly well stocked. I’ve been in ‘better’ hotels and had worse! If you are looking for a decent place to stay near Piccadilly I can only recommend this!!

Stayed here for two nights, really good central location. Staff were lovely and helpful. The bar and social area is really nice, comfy chairs and food and drink served round the clock. The room was lovely and clean and had a really good night's sleep. Would recommend if you are in Manchester.

Wont come here again. We arrived at Manchester Piccadilly Premier Inn at 11:05 after paying an extra £15 for early check-in at 11am. After a long journey, we were looking forward to getting into the room, having a rest and getting ready for the festival, only to be told the room wasn’t ready despite paying extra for it. We were told that early check-in isn’t guaranteed due to operational reasons, which makes you wonder what exactly you’re paying for in the first place. The receptionist couldn’t even give us an estimate of how long we’d be waiting. In the end we had no choice but to get ready in the disabled toilet because we had nowhere else to go, and we weren’t the only ones left standing around waiting for rooms. We eventually got access to the room around 30 minutes later, but by then we were already behind schedule and the whole start to the stay felt disorganised and frustrating. The room itself was okay and fairly clean, but that’s about the most positive thing I can say. The bed was comfortable enough, although it could have done with more pillows and a softer mattress, and the TV remote barely worked. The hotel was fairly quiet considering it’s right in the city centre, so we got a decent night’s sleep, but for the amount we paid the room felt very basic. What really let the stay down was the service. The hotel seemed completely understaffed from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. There were queues at reception throughout our stay and staff never seemed particularly interested in helping anyone. The receptionist was apologetic but came across quite cold and unfriendly, and most of the staff looked as though they didn’t want to be there. At one point I was carrying a huge bag of food with both hands full and three members of staff simply stood and watched rather than offering to help with the door. Small things like that make a big difference and it just added to the feeling that customer service wasn’t much of a priority. Checking out was just as frustrating as checking in. There was a long queue with only one member of staff on reception and we nearly missed our train because of it, eventually having to leave our key cards on the counter and rush out. What really annoyed me though was the price. We paid around £240 for one night for two people, which is ridiculous for what was ultimately a very average Premier Inn experience. Had it been £80-£100 a night I could probably overlook a lot of these issues, but at £240 I expected far better service, better organisation and for the paid early check-in to actually be honoured. The room was acceptable, but the overall experience felt disorganised, unwelcoming and nowhere near worth the money. I certainly wouldn’t stay here again unless the price was significantly cheaper.

Stayed here for the first time on a two nights stay in Manchester as it worked out cheaper to stay in two separate Hotels. Nice clean hotel and rooms and i had no issues checking in using the self check in machines. Csnt coment on staff as I never saw anyone during my stay. My room was spaces and if you've stayed in a Premier Inn before you know what to expect and the bed was comfortable. My room was at the fron of the Hotel and even though it was during the football celebrations it was still fairly quite and for me extra relaxing as the water flow from the lock was therapeutic most of the evening. Very pleased with my stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend to anyone whos looking for a cheap decent place to stay thats close to the city centre and Piccadilly railway station.
