About The Miners Standard
Tucked away near the pretty village of Winster, The Miners Standard pairs proper pub hospitality with no-frills camping in the heart of the Peak District. Campers rave about the hearty food – the steak and ale pie is a particular favourite – and well-kept real ales, while the friendly staff and cosy, traditional atmosphere make it feel genuinely welcoming. Facilities are straightforward but perfectly adequate: electric hook-ups, showers, and the bonus of an on-site café for breakfast.
Campfires are allowed, dogs are welcome, and it's open year-round, making this a flexible base for exploring Derbyshire's trails and market towns. The camping side offers excellent value, though don't expect luxury – this is more about great beer, good grub, and an authentic Peak District welcome.

Had such a lovely stay, initially for 1 night in our Motorhome, but stayed another night as we were enjoying it, and the weather was lovely. Staff were so welcoming and friendly, they couldn't do enough for you. The food was amazing, we had the vegetable curry which was so nice. Lots of lovely walks around the area. Dog friendly. Definitely recommend, we will be going back for sure.

Not much to say other than, A brilliant little pub!. Wes was super welcoming and the food was on another level! They let us order half hour early as the chefs was already in which was nice as we was happy to wait till the kitchen opened. The atmosphere was top notch, the pub & facilities are exceptionally clean and well looked after. We camped here for £7 pp (kids are free) which is cheap in my opinion (showers are £1 coin run if you want one) and the views around the pub/field are so pretty. Enough space for easy 20+ campers/vans/ motor homes with a nice gap between them. The food and drink here is excellent value for money along with the camping. We will definitely be back in the future. Keep up the great work Wes and the team 👏

It was tasty and reasonably priced food. Just slightly disappointing that the Nachos to start stated home made on the menu and when they came out they were just the supermarket nachos which I can buy anywhere. The Chilli however was very tasty for these nachos :) nice to sit outside on a warm evening!
