Glossoms Lodge

Melton Mowbray sits at the heart of the Leicestershire countryside, surrounded by farmland, villages and market-town amenities. Glossoms Lodge occupies a quiet spot on a working stud farm between Thorpe Arnold and Scalford, about three miles from the town itself. The property is a single-storey annex, accessed via two steps to the entrance, with everything on the ground floor: a living room with smart TV and electric fire, a kitchen with full cooking facilities and dishwasher, a double bedroom, and a bathroom with bath and shower. Bed linen, towels, electricity and wi-fi are included.

The lodge sits on land where you can walk through the farm tracks and fields (where there are no horses), and you may encounter the owner's horses or foals depending on the season. There is private parking for one car and a back garden with patio, plus a front sitting-out area with furniture. Melton Mowbray itself offers restaurants and shops; Belvoir Castle is a 20-minute drive away. Rutland Water, known for water sports and bird watching, lies within 30 minutes, as do several country parks. The property does not allow smoking.
