Elizabeth House

Elizabeth House opens into a substantial living room on the ground floor, where an electric fire and Freeview TV provide comfort on quieter evenings. Down from here sits the kitchen and dining area, equipped for actual cooking: electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and coffee maker all present. Patio doors lead directly out to an enclosed garden with seating and a barbecue (available April to October).

The bedrooms spread across two floors. First floor holds a double room with an additional single bed, plus a separate single with a pull-out trundle (suitable for children). The second floor contains a king-size bedroom with its own ensuite shower, and a family bathroom with bath and shower. Two bathrooms means less negotiation in the mornings. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included; the property has oil central heating for winter visits. One car parks on site, with additional space on the road outside. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available on request.

Bampton sits on the edge of Exmoor National Park, with walking trails accessible from the property itself. Wimbleball Lake lies nearby for water sports and fishing. The village is small and quiet rather than bustling. No smoking throughout. One pet stays free.
