Ponsford Ponds - Goosedown Lodge

Ponsford Ponds is a working fishery set on the edge of the Blackdown Hills, and Goosedown Lodge sits right beside the water. This is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom retreat on the ground floor, sleeping two adults. The whole place is yours alone, with everything you need to cook and eat, a sitting room with wood burner and Smart TV, and a bedroom with a super kingsize bed (twin beds available on request). A walk-in shower and heated towel rail complete the interior.

Outside, your decked area overlooks the lakes and includes garden furniture, a barbecue, and a private four-person hot tub. Fishing is available directly from the lodge at no extra cost—the main pond holds carp up to 10lb alongside silver fish, bream, roach, rudd and perch, with a specimen pond for larger carp a short walk away. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included, along with initial logs for the wood burner and a welcome pack.

The location puts you ten minutes from the M5, five minutes from Cullompton, and twenty minutes from Exeter. The North Devon coast is an hour away, and the Jurassic cliffs of South Devon roughly half that. Adults only.
